Laura Fortin, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
I am a homeschooling mother to three children, ages 11, 8, and 6, and have been interested in holistic health for many years--a personal and professional journey which includes certifications in Holistic Health Coaching (CHHC, AADP), Yoga (YTT-200),
Reiki I and II, DoTerra's Aromatouch Technique for essential oil application, and Placenta Encapsulation. I had my first experience with placenta encapsulation in 2008 when I prepared my niece's placenta for my sister. At the same time, I learned through Placenta Benefits (PBi) about the possibility of providing this unique service in my community and became New England's first (and for years, the only) PBi-Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist (PES). As a PBi-affiliated PES, I am held to a high standard of practice, following EPA/OSHA guidelines, and maintaining both safe food handling and blood-borne pathogens certifications. I take great care in preparing your placenta in a very neat and efficient manner, with minimal waste, and I will always leave your kitchen cleaner than I found it! I have experienced first-hand, after childbirth and after miscarriage, how placenta preparations support and balance the mother's healing process, and I am pleased to be able to bring the benefits to so many other women. Since beginning this work, I have served over 400 families--many of them multiple times--from all over Massachusetts, Southern Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York.
It is my privilege to be part of your growing family's support team!
