Laura Fortin Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
I am a mother to two daughters (ages 15 & 10) and have been interested in holistic health for many years--a personal and professional journey which includes certifications in Holistic Health Coaching (CHHC, AADP), Yoga (YTT-200), Reiki I and II, doTerra's AromaTouch Technique for essential oil application, and Placenta Encapsulation.
I had my first experience with placenta encapsulation in 2008 when I prepared my niece's placenta for my sister. At the same time as I was learning about making placenta pills, I also discovered the possibility of providing this unique service in my community and became New England's first (and for years, the only) PBi-Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist (PES)--one of my clients even went on to become a placenta encapsulator herself!
As a PBi-trained PES, I am held to a high standard of practice, following EPA/OSHA guidelines, and maintaining both safe food handling and blood-borne pathogens certifications. I take great care in preparing your placenta in a very neat and efficient manner, with minimal waste, and I will always leave your kitchen cleaner than I found it!
I have experienced first-hand (after both full-term births and 2 miscarriages) how placenta supports and balances the healing process, and I am pleased to be able to bring the benefits to so many others. Since beginning this work, I have served several hundred families (with many repeats) from all over Massachusetts, Southern Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York.
It is my privilege to be part of your growing family's support team!
